Erol Donmez, managing director of VitrA UK, comments: "With males and females alike prioritising health, well-being and pampering, consumers are increasingly demanding sanctuary-like spaces from their hotel bathrooms. In our experience, hotels are learning that they must upgrade their bathrooms to attract new customers while simultaneously differentiating themselves from the competition." In recent years VitrA has worked on a number of projects for leading independent hotel chains, including the complete specification for all 92 bathrooms at Nottingham's Dakota hotel, a budget luxury hotel built by the Malmaison group. Similarly, products from VitrA's Nuovella and Riva ranges have been used to fit out some of Marston Hotels' latest ventures including Cambridge Belfry and Nottingham Belfry. In addition to these contracts, VitrA has played an important part in transforming the image of Butlins from a chalet holiday camp to one of a modern and up-to-date hotel resort, supplying all 160 bathrooms at the firm's Shoreline hotel in Bognor Regis. Chalets were fitted out with WCs and washbasins from the brand's Arkitekt range, a collection which is renowned for its diverse choice of functional yet aesthetic designs. "Our contracts team has gradually built a reputation for supplying DDA compliant products that surpass current regulations – most notably Heathrow's T5 – and, in the near future, we will be announcing some very exciting hotel contract wins which will demonstrate the implementation of these products." "VitrA's diverse and comprehensive product portfolio offers designs for every type of hotel, from the boutique, niche business to the volume pod-based property. Our range of sanitaryware, furniture, brassware, accessories and tiles has been designed to fulfil key contract considerations such as space maximisation, ease of installation and a balance between form and function. "In addition to quality product, we also offer expertise, knowledge, flexibility to provide bespoke products to match a client's brief and the ability to turn around products to meet this sector's frequently tight timetables. VitrA has the right product to match every brief, bringing innovative and design to any hotel's bathrooms." Most recently VitrA supplied sanitaryware for the Adam and Eve project in Turkey, a new five star resort labeled 'the sexiest hotel in the world', which features the world's longest bar and longest swimming pool.
